Welcome to our 360 roof box tool

We hope that our 360° roof box tool will help you decide which general shape of box will suit you best.

It makes sense to think about the box width first of all. For example, do you need to carry bikes on the roof as well? Note that if you use slotted aluminium bars you can usually carry one more bike than is shown in these pictures, by pushing the box right over to one side. For example, you’ll get a maximum 1 bike next to a full-width box, 2 bikes next to a medium-width box, 3 next to a narrow one. The box and bike carrier combinations shown in these pictures are accurate for steel bar options.

The cars, roof bars and roof boxes are all to scale.

Using our tool is easy:

1. Select your car type from the list on the right.
2. Choose a roof box shape from the buttons above. These six boxes cover the full range of widths and lengths.
3. Spin the car using your mouse or finger, and you’ll get a very good idea of what the box will look like on your car, and its general size. If there is room left on the roof bars beside the particular box, we've added a bike rack to show what might be possible with the remaining space.
