Why it's important to select the correct vehicle and tyre size
Vehicle
There are a surprising number of vehicles that cannot use traditional snowchains, the types that put chain on the inside of the wheel as well as on the tread. This is usually because there is not enough space between the wheels and the shock absorbers; this can be a problem for ordinary SUVs and 4x4s as well as for high performance cars.
You will find this important information in your car handbook - please check this before using your snowchains! Our database is intended to do the basic work for you but, with so many new vehicles and tyre sizes, it should only ever be treated as a guide.
Tyre size
Please also check your tyre size - if you buy incorrectly-sized chains they will be either too tight or too loose.
Ladder track chains
The good news is that car handbooks usually only refer to "traditional snowchains". Ladder track chains such as the Polaire GRIP and Spikes-Spider range only put chain over the tyre tread, so are not subject to these restrictions. They are also ideal for use on rear wheel drives where there is minimal space between the top of the wheel and the wheel arch.

This Thule Evo and Edge adapter kit / fitting kit can only be used with the Thule Evo 7105 Foot Pack and the Thule Edge 7205 Foot Pack; it is not compatible with either the Rapid System 750 Foot Pack or the Rapid System 754 Foot Pack - the attachment system is completely different.
This Thule adapter kit only fits the Thule Evo 7105 and Thule Edge 7205 foot packs This adapter kit ONLY fits the Thule Evo foot pack no. 7105 and the Thule Edge foot pack no. 7205; it does NOT fit the earlier foot packs 750 or 754. We are showing pictures of 750 and 754 roof bar 'feet' to help make this clear. If you have e.g. a 754 system and there is no Rapid System adapter kit shown in the products list, this means we have sold out of this adapter kit. Your options are to try and source one elsewhere, or else buy a new Evo foot pack (for clamp-on systems) or an Edge foot pack (for flush mounted roof rail systems), together with this kit; if your existing Thule bars are of appropriate length you will be able to reuse these with the Evo foot pack, but note that Edge WingBars are different to all other WingBar types. The Evo and Edge systems, being launched in phases between 2018 and 2020, are by far the biggest change in Thule's roof bar systems for over 20 years. To find the Rapid System adapter kit number you need to reuse an existing system, please click on the pdf symbol below:
About this Evo and Edge adapter kit This kit includes all the parts needed to join the 7105 or 7205 foot pack to the vehicle roof - 4 shaped rubber pads (one to be pressed onto each foot), 4 metal clamps which clamp around the bodywork to hold the roof bars onto the roof, and fitting and safety instructions. Be sure to fit the pads and clamps as shown in the Fitting instructions - these are often specific to each foot (e.g. Front Right, Rear Left), depending on the shape of the vehicle roof. If you don't fit clamp on roof bars regularly it also makes sense, for safety's sake and to avoid damaging your vehicle, to look at any fitting videos. See the tabs for more information and any fitting tips for your specific vehicle.

Delivery FAQs
When will my order arrive?
There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, except for postable items where Royal Mail has a Saturday delivery. Express Delivery orders placed on a Friday (before 1pm) should be delivered on the Monday or Tuesday, Express Delivery orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday should be delivered on the Tuesday or Wednesday. The arrangements for Very Heavy Items are different and are shown above.
What about Next Working Day delivery?
Most Express delivery orders will arrive on the next working day, if the order is placed before the cut-off time (see above). Some will arrive on the second working day if there has been a "split-delivery". So-called “split deliveries” happen when the couriers do not have enough trailer space for everything that should be moved around the UK, so they will load what they can and leave the rest for the next trailer.
Is my delivery day guaranteed?
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. As well as split deliveries, all courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
Do I need to be at home?
We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver to an address which suits you – this does not need to be your home address. Goods can usually be left without signature - we prefer this with roof boxes. There's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area where we'll ask you to choose a typical instruction and then amend it to suit your particular requirements.
