Our range of crash-tested dog cages
We stock two brands of crash-tested cage, both tested to the same TÜV standards, which require that the dog is contained in the cage in a variety of crash situations. Both are easy to assemble and easy to live with, for example with doors which click shut as they close so you can keep both hands free to control your dog.
Thule Allax cages are a modern take on the variable length cage; they look very smart and are very well made, mostly of aluminium and steel; the steel back panel includes an escape hatch. 4pets PRO cages are of equal quality, designed with pet comfort and safety in mind, with a patented back panel, the ‘Impact Protection System’, which expands to absorb the kinetic energy of a dog being thrown against it, and then releases this energy in a controlled way so the dog has every possible chance of surviving a crash.
Unfortunately there are no 4pets PRO cages available for your vehicle because of the size / shape of the tailgate.
Alternative options
4pets Caree car seat travel system
The 4pets Caree is designed for cats and dogs up to 15kg and is fixed to the vehicle seat with a seatbelt, or (with an accessory) to any pair of ISOFIX latch points.
It's designed for safety, and has passed TÜV's crash- testing regime. It's also designed for ease of use, with a door on each side (one-handed opening and closing), and a very cosy bed that’s easily removed for hand washing.

The 4pets Boxometer is a tool to help us work out what is the biggest cage that will fit behind the rear seats in your vehicle.
There's no charge for using it, but we'll want it back ASAP, so we charge a £25 deposit, refundable when the Boxometer is back here. We pay all the carriage charges.
