Why it's important to select the correct vehicle and tyre size
Vehicle
There are a surprising number of vehicles that cannot use traditional snowchains, the types that put chain on the inside of the wheel as well as on the tread. This is usually because there is not enough space between the wheels and the shock absorbers; this can be a problem for ordinary SUVs and 4x4s as well as for high performance cars.
You will find this important information in your car handbook - please check this before using your snowchains! Our database is intended to do the basic work for you but, with so many new vehicles and tyre sizes, it should only ever be treated as a guide.
Tyre size
Please also check your tyre size - if you buy incorrectly-sized chains they will be either too tight or too loose.
Ladder track chains
The good news is that car handbooks usually only refer to "traditional snowchains". Ladder track chains such as the Polaire GRIP and Spikes-Spider range only put chain over the tyre tread, so are not subject to these restrictions. They are also ideal for use on rear wheel drives where there is minimal space between the top of the wheel and the wheel arch.

PeBe seat covers are so well designed, with top notch materials and sewing, that most people don’t realise they’re seat covers at all!
This is the version without headrest covers, so it’s a bit cheaper.
PeBe have been specialist seat cover designers and manufacturers since 1979, so we’re all able to benefit from their exceptional experience. PeBe seat covers are a very good investment! As well as protecting the outer edges of the seats, the parts that usually wear out first, and keeping the seats clean, PeBe seat covers will give the whole driving space a lift; they look good, and they feel good. Worn and dirty seats will certainly reduce a vehicle’s resale value. Cleaning is relatively cheap, for sure, but seat repairs certainly aren’t! It therefore makes sense to fit a good set of seat covers as soon as possible after purchase; it might even be possible to take them from one vehicle to the next. The Stark series has artificial leather sides (3mm foam laminated), with a fabric centre piece for warmth and comfort (6mm foam laminated). The centre fabric has a Martindale test rating of 130,000 rubs - it's designed for very heavy duty use. BS 2543 specifies 25,000 as Heavy domestic, 30,000 as General contract, and 40,000 as Severe contract. It’s very important that seat covers are a bespoke fit, if they’re going to last as long as expected. Because PeBe want to be the best, they invest a lot of time in perfecting their patterns, and they also pay close attention to optimising the fitting system for different types of seat, saving time and costs. PeBe AB is based in Sweden and is part of the Calix Group, owned by Bark Invest AB whose brands include well know names such as Autoform and Klippan. Their seat covers have REACH approval 1907/2006, and use foam laminated materials that are flame retardant to VCS 5031.19. They meet or surpass Original Equipment standards.

Delivery FAQs
When will my order arrive?
There are no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays, except for postable items where Royal Mail has a Saturday delivery. Express Delivery orders placed on a Friday (before 1pm) should be delivered on the Monday or Tuesday, Express Delivery orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday should be delivered on the Tuesday or Wednesday. The arrangements for Very Heavy Items are different and are shown above.
What about Next Working Day delivery?
Most Express delivery orders will arrive on the next working day, if the order is placed before the cut-off time (see above). Some will arrive on the second working day if there has been a "split-delivery". So-called “split deliveries” happen when the couriers do not have enough trailer space for everything that should be moved around the UK, so they will load what they can and leave the rest for the next trailer.
Is my delivery day guaranteed?
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a Next Working Day delivery. As well as split deliveries, all courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems as can happen to everyone else, including snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address, or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
Do I need to be at home?
We are very flexible with our deliveries and will aim to deliver to an address which suits you – this does not need to be your home address. Goods can usually be left without signature - we prefer this with roof boxes. There's a "Special Delivery Instructions" box in the checkout area where we'll ask you to choose a typical instruction and then amend it to suit your particular requirements.
