Good reasons to buy from The Roof Box Company
1. Pricing
We work hard to make sure that our pricing is very competitive. Our package deals for roof bars and a roof box, or roof bars and bike carriers (e.g. Thule ProRide 591), will give you pricing that we are fairly certain cannot be matched elsewhere, and from time to time we also need to shift overstocks at very cheap prices to make space for new deliveries - check our Bargains pages. You'll find even better prices for used items, some of which are almost as new, e.g. exchanged or demo items.
2. Product Range
We stock a wide range of products from the mid market upwards. There are numerous roof box manufacturers in Europe and we have investigated most of them. We are confident that at every price level we have chosen long established suppliers who provide not only the best quality products, but also excellent after sales service. We judge products not only on looks but on build quality, ease of use, and our experience of using them.
3. Knowledge
Trading in roof boxes and bike carriers is our full time business, so we are confident about the advice we give. We know the market well and can judge which products are likely to be successful for you. We also stock all the additional bits and pieces that might be required to ensure a safe fit of your box.
4. Guarantees
As you will probably be buying "sight unseen" we provide a unique and exceptional Exchange Scheme which lasts for three calendar months (approximately "90 days") from the date of invoice - one exchange only. If you decide after using a product that you'd rather have something else (e.g. a 'long medium wide' box instead of a 'long thin' one), we'll exchange it for you. We charge in full for the replacement item, including the appropriate carriage charge and a charge for any packaging needed for the return of the original. Except for roof boxes, ee pick up the return carriage cost. When the original arrives back here we refund its cost in full as long as it is in 'as new' condition, fair wear and tear excepted. However, we don't provide refunds, i.e. we never refund more than the cost of the replacement, so it makes sense to exchange an item for one of approximately equal cost. The exchange scheme only covers roof boxes, tow bar bike carriers and roof mounting bike carriers but does not include items purchased as part of a package deal. We will strive to do what is fair and reasonable to make sure that you won't be stuck with anything you're not happy with.
If you decide to cancel your order, and do not wish to use the Exchange Scheme - in other words you just change your mind, or have e.g. duplicated your order elsewhere - then you must contact us in writing within 14 days of receiving the order. The goods must also (1) be unused and (2) be in their original packaging. Any order including a roof box: We will arrange the collection and will always deduct £50 as a contribution towards the return freight costs. All other orders: You should return the goods to us, but on request we can collect the goods for a £15 charge. If there is a problem with fitting the components supplied, e.g. roof bars, then we will of course refund you in full without deductions.Everything we sell has a manufacturer's guarantee for defects in materials or workmanship, ranging from 2 to 6 years.
As a member of Quality Guild we are required to achieve 'best practice' in every aspect of our business. We are a family business, based in Sedbergh in south Cumbria, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
5. Online ordering Convenience
Save time and money by buying roof boxes and bike carriers online, or phone 015396 21884. You can fit the equipment at a time and in weather conditions to suit you. (It usually takes our customers at least 45 minutes to fit roof bars and a box the first time out. Do you really want to be doing this in the shopping centre car park?!) Everything we sell is easy to fit.
6. Speed and Cost of Delivery
We will deliver anywhere in the UK, and be as flexible as we can be with the delivery arrangements. We offer a standard delivery which usually takes 2 / 3 days or a an Express delivery service which usually takes 1 / 2 days. Please take a look at our Terms and Conditions for delivery costs. There are surcharges for timed Next Day deliveries, e.g. "Deliver by noon", and for Saturday deliveries. Please e-mail or phone 015396 21884 for details. We charge a premium for deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and other islands, e.g. Shetlands or Orkneys - it depends on what you order. We aim to keep everything in stock all of the time.
7. Flexibility
We are very flexible with our deliveries and will deliver on a day and at an address to suit you.
8. Technical and Spares
We are usually open into the early evening, especially during the summer months, and will be delighted to provide whatever advice you might require in the fitting of your equipment. We keep spares of just about everything we sell and aim to supply these by return, usually at no extra charge.
9. Special Offers
We like to keep in touch with our existing customers, and from time to time have Special Offers on a wide range of items.
